Removal of birthmarks and moles

Moles are common skin growths caused by clusters of pigment cells called melanocytes. These cells produce melanin, the substance responsible for skin color. Most people have between 10 and 40 moles, which can appear anywhere on the body, including the face, scalp, hands, and feet.

Moles are usually harmless, but it's important to monitor for changes in size, shape, or color, as these changes can indicate melanoma, a type of skin cancer. The ABCDE rule is a useful guide for examining moles:

A. For asymmetry: One half of the mole does not match the other.

B for border: The edges of the mole are irregular.

C for color: The mole has multiple colors or an uneven shade.

D for diameter: The mole is larger than 6 mm.

E for evolution: The mole changes in size, shape, or color over time.

Moles can be congenital (present at birth) or acquired later in life, often influenced by genetics and sun exposure.
